Root canal therapy is necessary when the pulp, the soft tissue inside the root canal, becomes inflamed or infected. The procedure involves opening the tooth, removing the damaged pulp, cleaning, shaping, filling and sealing the tooth.
The common causes affecting the pulp are cracked tooth, a deep cavity, repeated dental treatment to the tooth or trauma. Depending upon how much infection there is in the injured tooth, your may be put on medicine before our dentist or Endodontist can begin to work.
